On your behalf, we have researched utility/ business service offers from a range of national providers (BIRA, Chamber of Commerce and FSB) that can potentially provide you with opportunities to make savings

We have investigated the provision of Wi-Fi across the City and, in partnership with Herefordshire Council, gone out to tender for a suitable provider. The system will provide crucial information on city footfall as well as provide a new platform to interact and inform visitors on the City’s offering

Three physical newsletters and nine e-bulletins have been sent out to keep levy payers updated on the progress of HBID – this also allows businesses another method to tell us about the things that concern them

The setting up and chairing of ‘Street Champions’ for individual businesses to represent and inform on issue their area faces

Representation for businesses by attending key meetings such as the Council’s Infrastructure Communications Meeting, integrated Community Management Scheme, City Centre Project Group. We’ve also given feedback on several consultations such as city car parking, High Town Refurbishment and the Economic Masterplan.

Business Mentoring The Hereford Business Improvement District offers members a business mentoring service for those wishing to boost profitability, whatever the size of your shop or operation. Upon request, we will arrange for renowned retail specialist Mark O’Dolan to come in and spend time with you, listening and observing your business, all with one aim in mind - to help you make more money.

Parking Consultation Support Hereford Business Improvement District arranged three meetings and invited all businesses to come together to discuss the proposed changes to parking within the city. Hereford Business improvement District also submitted a response requesting the inclusion of a 15 minute free waiting period which would benefit multiple businesses within the city.
