Employed two-part time handy people who care for the City by sprucing it up; cleaning corners and tight gaps between the pavements and buildings and waging war on litter – plus any odd jobs or business assistance that is required in their area


Installation of attractive window vinyl’s in St. Peter’s Street, Union Street and Commercial Street promoting that they are available to let


Brewers Passage/ Mansion House Walk cleaned down - all freshly painted with graffiti removed


Waste land cleaned up at Maylords/ Brewers Passage - litter and brambles removed & replaced with landscaped area complete with turf and ornamental bushes


Installation and maintenance of 220 hanging baskets/window boxes - supplied to local businesses April / May 2019


Clean for the Queen campaign and regular seasonal business clean-ups in key areas of the city that need help


Teams from Hereford BID, Wilko, Old Market and Specsavers took part in a Business Community Street Clean as part of the Great British Spring Clean. Litter picking and removing weeds from Edgar Street; from the Tesco Roundabout to The Courtyard Theatre.


Removed 25,000 pieces of gum across the BID area.


1,500 enhancements carried out across BID streets


Our street enhancement team are out daily tackling the weeds in the City centre.


Our handymen have been out tidying up the area beside the very busy A438 road and on the corner of Widemarsh Street by the Herdsman and The Children's Book Shop. Hereford BID worked in partnership with Vennture and Hereford in Bloom to re-arrange all the barrel planters including de-weeding and re-soiling ready for some fresh new plants, weed-killing, sweeping and hopefully we can put some money forward to replace some of the old barrels. Hereford BID will then water and maintain these planters regularly.

Monday 11th November, Hereford BID held a Street Champions meeting with guest Speaker Luke Conod of Hereford Rotary Club A great opportunity for BID Businesses to network, tell us of any issues of concern and to update attendees on the projects HBID are delivering including trading data such as footfall.
